10 fragrances to try right now

I have a fragrance obsession right now. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have spied my Instagram Stories showing you sneak peeks into my ever-growing, far too large collection. I go through phases with beauty but at the moment fragrances are most definitely my thing and because of that my collection is forever growing.

I've rounded up 10 of my current favourites that are perfect for this time of year. So if you feel like you want to up your fragrance game and add a perfume or two to your collection, read on...

Maison Margiela Paris Replica Lazy Sunday Morning EDT£95 for 100ml

Maison Margiela fragrances are some of the most beautiful. Their packaging is iconic and I love the descriptive look of the labels on the front. My current favourite fragrance is Lazy Sunday Morning, which actually I first fell in love with because of the name. Instantly, I feel relaxed by knowing I'm going to wear it and the scent works perfectly.

The Maison Margiela Replica range is based around scents that capture moments, periods and locations essential to memories and I absolutely adore that. I also have the Maison Margiela Paris Replica Beach Walk fragrance, £95 which is beautiful for when the weather warms up.

This scent is incredibly clean and fresh and is the most perfect daytime scent. It's super calming and is my go-to scent when I need to de-stress in the daytime.

Top notes: Aldehydes, Pear Accord and Lily of the Valley Accord

Heart notes: Iris Accord, Rose Absolue and Orange Flower Accord

Base notes: White Musk Accord, Indonesian Patchouli Oil and Ambrette Seeds Absolute

Zara Home The Perfume Collection, £29.99 for 100ml

Honestly, when I heard about Zara Home launching a new perfume collection I didn't really think much about it. The bottles looked nice from what I had seen but I didn't really expect much from the scents. Fragrances from high street stores generally don't do that much for me, though many are now breaking through these boundaries and are blooming brilliant and that's exactly how I felt when I first had a sniff of this range at the launch. For every other fragrance in this feature, I've chosen one scent but where the new Zara Home perfume collection is concerned I just couldn't. They all smell blooming fantastic and as they're so budget friendly I'd recommend picking up a few.

Clean Reserve Blonde Rose Eau De Parfum, £79 for 100ml

2016 was the year I gave new fragrance brands a go and steered away from my signature Marc Jacob scent and I think Clean Reserve might just be the brand I'm most excited that I discovered. I have two of their fragrances, but Blonde Rose is probably the one I reach for the most. This scent feels super grown up and the staying power is incredible. If you usually steer clear of floral scents, give this one a go - it's so different and so incredible. I adore the fragrance, the packaging and the quality is brilliant. I am hooked. If you want to give another a go, try the Clean Reserve Rain [Reserve Blend] Eau De Parfum, £79 a go.

Top notes: Aldehydes and Water

Heart notes: Rose, Peony and Jasmine

Base notes: Cedar, Sandalwood and Musk

Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne, £88 for 100ml

For me, Jo Malone is the most luxurious fragrance brand out there. From the experience of buying the fragrance, to the packaging it's in and following through to the fragrance and the quality of the fragrance itself. My current favourite scent is Lime Basil and Mandarin. It's fresh but grown up and works perfectly for both day and night wear. I adore these and I am forever striving to have an ever-growing collection of Jo Malone fragrances.

Top notes: Mandarin

Heart notes: Basil

Base notes: Amberwood

Liz Earle Botanical Essence Eau De Parfum No.15, £49 for 50ml

This fragrance will always hold a special place in my heart. I used to be a one fragrance kind of girl. In fact my fragrance was super sweet and super floral and I didn't think I'd ever veer away from it but as soon as I smelt this fragrance, everything changed. It's got a hint of musky/woody notes while still being a little floral. I rarely get through a fragrance but this one I have very much powered through. I have loved Liz Earle for years and before this one came into my life, I never thought about them for fragrances. It was always skincare and I adored it but the fragrances blow my mind.

This fragrance was the beginning of where my scent choices started to grow up a little. I had always turned my nose up at any fragrance with any sort of spice but this was unlike anything I'd ever smelt before. It's slightly spicy but a little sweet at the same time. You need to smell it - and it's really incredible for the price.

Top notes: Clove, bergamot, cinnamon, elemi, pink pepper

Heart notes: Cedar, damask rose, patchouli, cypriol, vetiver, sandalwood

Base notes: Tonka bean, bourbon vanilla, guaiac wood, benzoin

Neom Energy Burst 100% Natural Eau De Parfum, £49 for 49ml

Neom is one my my favourite home fragrance brands and I was super excited to hear that they were adding a personal fragrance into their range. This fragrance is perfect if you need a pick me up. It's fresh, fruity and really does give you a burst of energy like the name suggests. I adore using a spritz of this in the morning to help wake me up and get me ready for the day but I definitely don't steer away from it in the evening as it smells a little like mojitos and as a mojito fan this is blooming fantastic. If you're a rose gold fan too, you will need this bottle. It's stunning.

Top notes: Grapefruit

Heart notes: Lemon

Base notes: Rosemary

Bvlgari Rose Goldea Eau De Parfum, £74 for 50ml

Again, if you're a rose gold fan you need to add this to your fragrance stash. The fragrance is encased in the most beautiful intricate rose gold design bottle and I am obsessed with it. The packaging is super feminine and the fragrance perfectly fits with that. Its very floral but with a hint of musk so is a little different from the rose/floral fragrances I've smelt before. Similar-ish to the Clean Reserve rose fragrance, but a little less fresh and little better for evening wear.

Top notes: White Incense, Pomegranate

Heart notes: Egyptian Jasmine, Turkish Rose

Base notes: Sandalwood

Ghost Whitelight Eau De Toilette, £34 for 50ml

I think budget fragrances, much like I described for high street branded fragrances earlier, can often be looked over but as everyone's budgets don't always reach the high end that some fragrances reach to. Fragrances most definitely can be super nostalgic and Ghost is definitely that for me. From their iconic packaging to the lovely quality scents, I still adore them to this day. My favourite is Whitelight and I adore reaching for this when I'm looking for something that's a little on the sweeter side.

Top notes: Peach, Mandarin, Pear

Heart notes: Jasmine, Violet, Rose

Base notes: Patchouli, Vanilla, Amber

The Body Shop Widdringtonia Eau De Parfum, £28 for 50ml

I really love The Body Shop for fragrances. They are super affordable and have a great range to choose from. From their new launches I've fallen for the new Widdringtonia fragrance as I'm starting to grow fonder and fonder of a more masculine scent and this definitely is that. It's woody, it's earthy and I absolutely adore this fragrance for evening wear. For the price it's incredible and I have to admit I'm tempted to pick up a few more of the new launches.

Top notes: Artemisia, Black Pepper, Bergamot

Heart notes: Sage, Geranium, Nutmeg

Base notes: Exotic Woods, Vetiver, Patchouli

Dear Rose Nymphessence Eau De Parfum, £155 for 100ml

Last but not least, this might just be the most beautiful fragrance bottle I've ever seen. It was most definitely love at first sight when I saw this beauty and the scent itself didn't let me down either. If you like floral based scents then you'll love this one. It's super floral, feminine and fruity and works brilliantly for night and day wear. It feels fresh and light and isn't overwhelming which is most definitely why it mostly appears in my day routine. Yes it's expensive but the quality of the EDP itself doesn't let you down as it lasts well. I've fallen in love with the Dear Rose brand and I'm already pining over adding more to my collection.

Top notes: Pink Peppercorns, Pear, Mandarin

Heart notes: Magnolia, Freesia, Orange Blossom

Base notes: Blonde Amber Woods
