My lipstick obsession got a little out of
hand this year and my lipstick drawer is currently overflowing with gorgeous
lipstick-y goodness. Probably too many for one girl, but of course they’re all
different shades and that means I need them all right?
First up is the red lip of all red lips.
Imagine amazing staying power and a beautiful finish and you get the SephoraMatte Cream Lip Stain in 01. Everyone’s heard about this and if you have had
the chance to get your hands on it you’ll fully understand the hype around it.
It just looks so god damn good.
Another red lip and this time we’re going a
little darker and although this came into my life in the latter part of the
year, I just couldn’t not mention it as I’ve not fallen in love with a lipstick
like I have done with this one in a LONG time. I’m talking the NARS AudaciousLipstick in Charlotte*, a beautiful deep red that I just can’t get enough of. Paired
with the Topshop Lip Liner in Deception, another definite favourite, and the
application is easy and the staying power is amazing!
2014 was the year of the nude for me. I’ve
never been able to find the right shade so I’ve always just steered clear of
it. I used to be a red or purple lip only for me. That was until I got my hands
on the Bourjois Rouge Edition 12 Hour Lipstick in 31 Beige Shooting*. My nude lip lovin’ was found and from then it just
got worse. The Paul and Joe Glossy Lip Colour in 01* is my go-to lip gloss topping
for any nude lip as you’ll probably know by now, but I’ve been loving it so
much this year so definitely thought it was worth a mention.
Last up, my only purple feature this year
and it’s surprisingly in the form of a lip gloss! Not usually a lip gloss girl
but I’ve been loving adding that little bit of somethin’ somethin’ on top of my
usual lipstick choices so that’s where the Bare Minerals Marvellous Moxie LipGloss in Stunner comes in and I love adding this over a purple or red lip and
it just gives it that bit of extra oomph that I’m constantly obsessed with.
There were so many lippies and shades I
could have mentioned but I’ve narrowed it down to just this few.
What lip products have you been loving
throughout 2014?
