Products To Help You Relax

I'm always looking for new ways to de-stress and relax and that is written all over this range from Nip + Fab and of course, I was all over that. Sometimes I think it might just be a placebo effect, but when something says it'll help me relax and sleep better then it usually does and these were no different.

I fell in love with the scent of the Nip + Fab De-Stress Blend Range. I've got the Body Wash*, Body Lotion* and the Body Scrub*. I love Nip + Fab products and these are no different. The scents feature frankincense, orange blossom and sandalwood and although I may be no good at describing that, just trust me, the scents amazing.

The products themselves do exactly what you'd expect and they work so well together. My skin ends up feeling so soft and I'm left feeling super pampered. A top tip is to pop a bit of the body wash in the bath as a bubble bath, it works a treat and you know, I love the scent, so it extends that just a little.

As you can tell, I really love this range and as of today I actually will have handed in my dissertation (fingers crossed - sorry for the scheduled post, but as you can tell, the dissertation takes just a little bit of your time!) and so will have needed a lot of help from this and perhaps, i'll crack it out to celebrate tonight.

What do you use to help you relax?

Introducing Cheeky

I have always been a massive fan of the Cheeky salons and especially their Full Works Manicures and so when I realised that their beauty range extended past just the nail polishes they use in the salons, of course I had to get my hands on some of it and obviously, I had to give you all the low down on it too.

The Cheeky Pimp My Plume Dry Shampoo* is a little different to the dry shampoos we're used to. Shake a little of this powder into your hand and you pop that into your hair instead of spritzing it and actually I really like it. Does the job of refreshing your hair and an essential for everyone to have in their collection.

The Cheeky Freeze Frame Makeup Setting Spray* is a makeup setting spray that does exactly what it says, sets your makeup. It makes it last that bit longer and I love using this before a night out just to fix it all into place.

The Cheeky Let's Get Wet Shower Jelly* reminds me totally of the shower jelly's from Lush but I have fallen in love with all of the Cheeky packaging so that makes it better, doesn't it. This does exactly what you'd expect and it smells amazing!

Last up, I'm talking the Cheeky Kiss 'n' Tell Posey Rosey Lip and Cheek Tint*. A beautiful little compact and a really lovely product. Super subtle and a gorgeous gel texture - right up my street!

Have you ever tried Cheeky before? I've fallen in love!

The Budget Buy: So...? Body Sprays

Do you remember these? Crikey, I haven't used one of these since I was super young. I remember picking these up along side the impulse sprays and I remember feeling super grown up. Fast forward a few years and I'm giving them a go again and honestly I'm so surprised how much I love them.

One thing I hate doing with my actual perfumes is carrying it around with me. Sometimes you just need that spritz on the go but perfume bottles are so heavy and of course expensive and so if the worst happened and you broke it, it'd be devastating. Thats where the So...? Body Sprays* come in. They're so in expensive and hand bag sized and are just perfect for carrying around with you. As you can see they have so many scents so just pop in store and give them all a sniff and you'll be sure to find a few you like!

Did you used to use these body sprays when you were younger?

New In: Skincare

Now we all know what a skincare fiend I am and I’m always down to trying a few new products. This post is mostly DHC based after falling in love with their under eye masks so of course I just had to try a few more products out.

First up, I’ve got a couple of cleansers to give a mention. The DHC Pore Face Wash* is a super foaming cleanser that I’d recommend using daily to reduce the look of pores. The cleanser has two gentle exfoliants, baking soda and pear juice alpha hydroxy acids to make your skin feeling soft and refreshed, and I can vouch for it, it does! The best bit? The super lovely grapefruit scent! Now I won’t be using this daily my self as we all know how obsessed I am with my Liz Earle Cleanser and my skin totally plays up when I don’t use it regularly but I will be swapping it out for this every now and again though.

The DHC Pore Cleansing Oil* is such a nice product to remove your makeup. I’m not usually an oil fan, there’s just something I don’t love about using it on my skin but I’ve actually been enjoying using this one. Again it features the grapefruit scent of the Face Wash and I really like that.

Something a little odd and definitely something I never thought I’d be mentioning, in fact, I didn’t even know it existed but after trying and falling in love with the Revitalizing Moisture Strips for Eyes I just had to try the ones for your mouth. The RevitalizingMoisture Strips: Mouth* are something I probably don’t need to use as it is used to fight lines around your mouth but I really felt it was worth a mention as I really did love the ones for eyes. Now I can’t say whether it had an effect on me or not as I don’t have the problem to combat but it’s not bank breaking and so I’d really recommend picking up a pack of these to give a go if you do find it an issue.

Last up, I’m talking a product from Anatomicals and it’s the Anatomicals World Pore 3 Deep Cleansing Nose, Chin and Forehead Strips*. These are deep cleansing strips and are ideal for removing blackheads. These are super affordable so totally worth a go if you suffer with them quite badly.

Really love trying new skincare products and of course thought it was worth a mention…

What new skincare products have you been trying out lately?

2014 Favourites: The Body Care

Again, body care is another step I can be a little bit lax with. I’m giving you all away my secrets here! Crikey! A good moisturizer and scrub are usually the kind of products I’d feature here and as you can see… I have.

As per, I’ve loved the one and only The Body Shop Body Butter in Shea and holy crap this stuff is amazing and totally worth all of the features I mention this in on Studs and Dreams. Super hydrating and there’s just something that makes this feel so luxurious.

I’m not usually one for sticking to one brand of body scrub, perhaps I just haven’t found the right one yet but definitely felt this one was worth a mention as I do really enjoy it. It’s the St.Ives Apricot Body Scrub* and it does what you’d expect, but the best bit? The smell. Oh boy, this smells insane.

Last up, I thought I’d give a mention to my new found love of Lush and especially their Bath Bombs. I rediscovered my love for them in 2013 at Christmas and have been obsessed ever since. I stock up and bring a ton home with me and it just makes every bath that bit special. I love all the colours, and of course, the smell. Oh the smell.

I feel like I totally need to get into a few more body products this year so totally send your body product recommendations this year.

2014 Favourites: The Nails

As we all know I can be totally lazy when it comes to painting my nails and so anything that can help speed up the process and make it a little better then I need it. I have so many nail polish shades, I don’t often find a favourite as I’m always trying a different shade out and so I left that one out but the rest, trust me they’re goodn’s.

Starting with the nail filing and I’m talking Styfile. The curved nail file I really didn’t expect I’d like but surprisingly I do. It actually makes filing your nails so much easier and I love the nail skimmer and cuticle pusher on the end of the one pictured. This is actually the Stylfile 2* and is one of the prototypes, I haven’t actually got my hands on the actual one yet, but if this is good enough to go by, it’s blooming amazing and I’ve been using it a lot this year!

The Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover Hands and Feet* is just insane.  I have the chore of removing the nail polish, I mean as I said applying it even feels like a chore. This takes out all of that ‘chore-ness’ and I am forever picking up a new pot of this each time it runs out.

To finish of my mani, there are 2 products I always reach for to ensure the finish is amazing and to make sure it dries as quick as possible. The Seche Vite Top Coat makes every mani’s finish amazing and it makes it dry that bit quicker too. On top of that, it makes it last that bit longer, and of course that means less time to the next mani. On top of that, to speed it up that bit more the Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops* is a godsend. A drop on each nail and honestly it really helps and does really work.

2014 Favourites: The Hair Care

The next installment in my 2014 favourites, I hope you’re not getting sick of them yet! Today we’re talking hair care and perhaps a few less favourites than the other posts so far but that doesn’t mean they’re not as good…

I’m going to start with the holy grail of all hair products and of course my GHD Straighteners. They’ve lasted me around 10 years and subsequently been in my favourites all that time. I couldn’t imagine living without them and I just don’t think I ever will. When these ones go kaput, I’ll be picking up another pair STAT.

An Amelia Liana induced purchase and the best dupe I’ve tried all year and it’s in the form of the Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Dry Texturising Spray. Supposedly a dupe for the Oribe Texturising Spray, although I haven’t tried it myself and perhaps I don’t need to as I enjoy the CW one so much anyway!

The Kerastase Volume Shampoo* is a new favourite this year and I’ve been loving it so much. I’m not usually one for bothering too much with special shampoo’s and usually as long as its hydrating as I’m happy but there’s just something about this one that I love.

The Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment* is beautiful. I’m usually pretty lazy when it comes to hair and usually forget every step known to man but this one has changed that and it just makes my hair feel so soft. I’ve also been loving using this especially since ombreing my hair!

Last up, I’m talking a product I literally can’t live without and it’s the Tangle Teezer. I’ve actually got two of these, both in black and pink, as one day I couldn’t find my black one and well… like I said, I just cant live without it and that was the day the pink one came into my life. As I’ve said, I’m so lazy when it comes to hair and anything that makes it a little easier then I’m game for that and this one jus does that. Making hair brushing easy and I love that.

What haircare products have you been loving in 2014?
