Last weekend I headed down to the Looking Great Salon for the Shoot Me Fab event.
Fancy the chance to win a goody bag yourself? The event was sort a of competition too, vote for me here by liking the page and clicking vote on one of my pictures, I'd really appreciate it! By voting you have the chance to win a goody bag for yourself too!
A day filled with champagne, makeovers, sushi, cupcakes and goody bags galore!
The theme of the shoot was New Bourgeoise, I'm not going to lie, I really didn't know what to expect! We were told to wear something classic so I opted for a white sheer shirt, black leggings/trousers and a red velvet shirt on top.
Our makeovers consisted of getting our hair and make up done. I absolutely loved my hair. I'm quite lazy when it comes to hair styling, I seem to always focus on my make up and clothes and totally forget about my hair and so to have the chance to have it styled was perfect for me. We opted for a side parting with big waves/curls. A lot different from my usual naturally dried straight hair!
For the make up, again this was a lot different to what I was used to. I usually go for quite a natural look with not much base. In fact, this must have been the first time I have ever worn foundation. I'm usually a BB Cream or Tinted Moisturiser kind of girl. The coverage was a lot more than I was used to but it worked well in the images. Saharalah used Cover FX products.
Just like for this look I usually opt for something less on the eyes and more of a bold lip. The lovely Paula, did my eyes and lips, opting for just mascara and a little shadow on the eyes and a bold red on the lips. She chose a Sleek lipstick in Cherry! Feeling as though I need to add this one to my red lipstick collection, although I do usually prefer a darker and slightly bolder red.
We then had to have our pictures taken. Feeling a little uncomfortable - so not used to being in this position. Taking pictures of yourself is so much more different! You can see Allie in the images below having her photos taken. We were both as uncomfortable as each other, not knowing what to do with our lips!
Want to see the finished pictures? I look so different!
There's a couple of the final images! Hope you like them.
Georgina and I finished off the day sharing a couple of the beautiful cupcakes! They were delicious!
I had such a lovely day and I met some lovely ladies. Check out all of their blogs here: Allie, Stacey and Georgina. - if you love reading mine, you'll love reading theirs too!
So, as I mentioned at the top of the post this is actually sort of a competition. You can vote for me here and also bag yourself the chance to win a goody bag! Trust me, they're good!
Let me know what you think of the pictures and if you decide to vote!
