On Saturday, I attended the Scarlett London Bloggers Lunch created by the lovely Scarlett. The event was held at B-Soho, a lovely pizza restaurant in one of my favourite places in London, Soho! After reading about this restaurant on Rosie's blog The Londoner, and seeing how beautiful the food looked, how could I not go. A chance to sit down and chat to some other bloggers with the same interests as me, well I was definitely excited.
My first thought after agreeing to go was of course what most girls first think of - What do I wear?!... I opted for one of my favourite outfits of the moment including a lovely yellow jumper from Monki, a white sheer shirt and some trouser/leggings from Topshop along with my favourite spiked necklace. How could I go wrong with that? (Sorry I didn't actually get a picture of what I wore, will try and add in some more OOTD's on my blog soon! Let me know if you'd like that!) And then the next step, possibly the most important step was what do I wear on my face?! This is what I decided to go with.
Face - Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Garnier Tinted Eye Roll on,
Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Dainty Doll Cream Blush in 002
Brows - HD Brows Kit
Eyes - Barry M Intense Black Eye Liner, Bobbi Brown Glamour Lash Lengthening Mascara, Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara
Lips - Benefit Benetint, Topshop Lipstick in Rio Rio
For this look I started by applying my favourite base of the moment, my Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser. It has a lovely moisturising quality and leaves you with a dewy finish, which as a girl with quite dry and dehydrated skin, this is something I look for in a product - I really do love it. Full review coming soon. I then carried on using my usual routine, using my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Garnier Tinted Eye Roll on and Benefit Hoola Bronzer, these are my go to products in my day to day beauty regime. I use them all the time, and have done for so long, perhaps it's time to change it up a bit? I then went for one of my favourite blushes from my Dainty Doll collection - I bought so many products after them being so highly reduced on Fragrance Direct, who could turn down a £1.99 Blusher or Lipstick? There is still a lot of products still in stock, so if you haven't taken advantage of this offer yet then I definitely recommend you do. I am so in love with the products I have picked up, will make sure to review them for you all soon! I decided I wanted to have a red lip, and so decided to keep my eye make up quite basic and just opted for my signature black eye liner look. I used to wear this literally ALL the time, but lately I have been being brave and have been going without! For the lips I applied a base of Benefit's Benetint, I love using this underneath red lipstick as I haven't picked up a lip liner yet, I love that it stays there if my lipstick fades. I opted for my favourite red lipstick, Topshop Rio Rio, it's a matte red, you can read more about this polish on my Topshop Lipstick Collection post here!
As soon as I ready I head off into Central London to meet my friend Dina, as a lover of make-up also, I thought I'd bring her along to get involved in all the beauty chat! We headed off to the restaurant and met everyone there. They were all so lovely! I got the chance to meet some lovely ladies including Scarlett; the lovely lady running the event, along with Rachel, Chloe, Ashleigh, Joelle, Ana, Lucy and Sinead. They were all so lovely, I just wished I had the chance to chat more. Perhaps at the next Scarlett London Bloggers event? Lucy and Sinead were from Red PR and was great chatting to them as hopefully I will be getting into beauty PR myself.
We all sat down, chatted, ate some beautiful pizza and drank plenty of wine. I opted for the Vegetarian Pizza (sorry, I can't remember the exact name!) with courgettes, mushrooms and artichokes and wow, it was to die for. One of the nicest pizzas I have ever had! The courgettes were amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone, really great food and a lovely atmosphere.
As the time went on, the time came for us to say our goodbyes and we were very generously gifted two goody bags - one from the lovely Scarlett and the others from the lovely girls over at Red PR showing us some of Boots products. Here's a quick Instagram snap of the products I recieved, really excited to try them out and review them for you!
I had such a lovely time and I just want to thank Scarlett for inviting me. For more information and some even better pictures courtesy of Scarlett's boyfriend, the designated photographer of the day head on over to her blog Scarlett London to read her post on the day here! If you can come to the next one, I'd definitely recommend it! I know I'll want to go!
