I was given the Anukis Sugar Paste Strong Natural Hair Removal to review by the lovely ladies at Baobella (where I'm currently interning, read more here). I was a bit sceptical at first but the beauty lover in me also couldn't wait to give the product a go.
Beauty Sugaring is a 100% natural way of hair removal. It
is an ancient technique, used by the likes of Cleopatra and has been passed
down onto today. Sugaring is a gentler and more natural alternative to other
hair removal techniques such as waxing. The technique is actually very similar
to waxing it is just the components that are different. The only ingredients
within the sugar paste are the natural components of sugar, citric acid and
water! So you would not be using any of those nasties on your skin like you
would be doing with wax.
So I bet your wondering really why you would use this instead
of wax. I have been testing this product out and it really is worth it! For
those with sensitive skin, it is great as there are no harmful side effects
like there possibly could be with waxing. It is more hygienic and it removes
the hairs in a much easier way. The sugar wraps around the hair shaft and
reaches inside the follicles to encourage the extraction of the hair, where as
sometimes when using wax the hair can break making it impossible to extract the
hair. Sugar Paste can be used with hairs as little as 2mm where as wax would
not be able to remove this.
With all its plus points, I can imagine that this will
definitely be my hair removal technique of choice.

Have you tried Beauty Sugaring?
Never tried this before. My mum's a hairdresser and beauty therapist so she does a lot of waxing, will point her in the direction of this x
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this, is it painful? I hate waxing so I'll definitely be looking into this- thanks for sharing! x

Ooh I must try this! I have quite sensitive skin and to be honest, shaving's getting a bit tedious. I haven't tried waxing before, but I doubt my skin would like it, so this seems perfect! x
