Caudalie Beauty Elixir

Caudalie's website says:

'Inspired by Queen Isabelle of Hungary's elixir of youth, this treatment smooths away fine lines, tightens pores and gives the complexion a real boost of radiance. '

I bought this after reading so much about this product on the blogosphere and after a while, I had to have it. I was excited to try this product but a little apprehensive at the same time as I had heard things about the scent being a bit off putting.

Once I received the product, I'm going to be honest, but I just didn't like it. The scent was off putting, just as I had heard and I just couldn't deal with it. I stopped using it for a while and then gave it a go again, this time it was in the morning after I was very tired and all of a sudden, I got the scent a little better. It woke me up and refreshed my face, but really that's all I can say it has done. I have been using the product for a while now and really I'm not getting any results. Even though I am finding it to be this way, I do still like the product and now I solely use it in the morning to refresh my face and for that job it is great.

I really just don't get the product and I'm a bit confused about what it is supposed to do because really it doesn't do what it says on the website.

Has anyone else found this? What do you think of the product?

  3. I had this back in the day and it was honestly just a "face refreshing spray" but I sometimes used it like MAC Fix+ to make my makeup look more natural if it was looking powdery. It seems to have made a comeback due to lots of pushing on YT. Great blog! Newest follower!

  5. I hate it when you buy something and it just does nothing - I've lost count of how much I've spent trying to find that 'perfect' skincare routine!

  6. My main question/hangup about facial sprays is: why all of the unnecessary fragrance??? This Caudalie Beauty Elixir has some pretty decent ingredients, but in my opinion, they really flubbed up with the addition of all the unecessary fragrance. Give us something beneficial sans scent and I'll be happy!

  8. I love the scent of this, and found it really refreshing ti use, but noticed no difference to my skin whatsoever. If it was cheaper I'd have repurchased, but there are far less expensive facial mists around that do the same thing!

  9. Great review, I like honest bloggers. I've tried several similar things and I haven't been delighted with any. Maybe it's just me. But I don't believe commercials and promises anymore.

  11. This is defiantly something I have been meaning to buy to try because I have heard such good things about it. But to know its not very good actually save me some pennys, knowing its something I am not going to waste my money on.

  12. I bought this for my mum from Paris after hearing SO much about it. The smell is not refreshing AT ALL in my opinion! I was expecting it to be a much less 'powerful' smell? I don't know I just don't think it's worth the 25 euros! xx
